Event Envy:Vintage Tea Party

Wedding season is in full swing, I have 4 bridal showers coming up! I spotted this little beaute the other day and thought it looked divine.  A tea party is a super sweet and classy theme for a shower not to mention easy to execute.  I especially love the potted flower favors they came up with.

Event Envy: A Wedding I Would Want To Go To

Thank you The Juice Stop for posting this amazing wedding (especially for posting all 89 images!), love all the details they used. You must click over and view the shots for yourself, here is just a taste of the best of the best:

1. Awesome shoes and a vespa

2. Rad vintage dresses with little white gloves

3. Great Pops of color

4. This adorableness

5. Corn Fields

6. Lots of crafts

7. They served hot dogs

8. Flower Chandeliers

I could go on and on, this is a wedding I totally dig.

Event Envy: This wedding venue is rad!

I stopped cold in my tracks when I saw this on Pinterest this week, this wedding turned out gorgeous! I am in love with the venue, it is does elegant/rustic/romantic perfectly.

I love how she let all her bridesmaids just be themselves for the wedding, yet somehow it totally works.

And the way this bride accessorized and dressed down the gown is adorable. Personally I tend to lean more toward glamming things up but on her this works.

Event Envy:A Bleubird Vintage wedding – James + Aubrey

I don’t care if vintage is getting over saturated/super trendy I still love it. This wedding takes the cake, it is completely adorable and I fell in love with it when I saw it on 100 Layer Cake.

Bohemian wedding receptionLittle known fact: I adore vintage glassware and am starting a collection – pictures like this inspire me.

Bohemian wedding receptionjam wedding favorsThere was only one element I didn’t LOVE, the paint dipped feathers they hung (by the hundreds) on the ceiling. A cool concept that reads kinda creepy for a wedding.

Event Envy: I’m Nuts for Navy and this Americana Wedding

So I am completely obsessed with the color Navy. I recently swapped out my bedspread for a Navy Ikat one and bought Navy pillows from Target for my living room (I already had a Navy bathroom) – I fear I have gone a little overboard with the Navy thing. But I LOVE it. So when I caught this wedding on Grey Likes Weddings I was majorly drooling. Not only is it themed in one of my favorite colors, but it’s got that whole east coast Hamptons vibe – which (again) I LOVE.

Event Envy: Wait just a second…I know these people!!

I was browsing pinterest the other day and saw a picture that Style Me Pretty had pinned of a wedding.  It took me a second before I realized that it was a picture from my friends Kevin & Jenny’s wedding, a wedding that I went to!  I can’t believe I didn’t recognize it at first. How awesome are her pictures?!

Event Envy: Boho Picnic

I have fallen on love…

with this wedding!

bride with floral hair piece

“Mary Grace + Drew both wanted the feel of a relaxed outdoor picnic with their closest family and friends for their wedding day. They are both drawn to old fashioned/antique design styles rather than modern, so they tried to get everything second hand or homemade. They love how most of the items they used have a past and a unique story to them. Their wedding just screams fun + easy which I absolutely love. Thanks to Sarah Shreves for the lovely photos and congrats to Mary Grace + Drew!” -Source Green Wedding Shoes

Wedding Field Trip with my BFF

Now that the Bachelorette Party is behind us we are counting down to the bridal shower and the ACTUAL WEDDING (eek), which is in March. Misha and I headed to Shinoda Design Center (an wholesaler of all things party/floral) to scout out her centerpieces.

It is hard to describe Shinoda to someone who has never been, it is kinda like the costco of party shwag. We’re talking ribbons, baskets, spray paints, decor, streamers, balloons, flowers, glitter, confetti, ornaments…you name it they have it. We initially set out to find tree branches that we could spray paint silver, only to find that most branches worth their salt were running $40 a pop.  Then we found the perfect one pre-made (see below) for about $50 a tree, which didn’t sound too unreasonable. But then we started thinking about the cost to add flowers and crystals and this tree branch idea was starting to look less appealing.  Lucky for us we found some AMAZING tall candelabras (see below), that give the same glamorous feel and will cost half as much!

Once we were on the candelabra train we could not get off, especially once we found all these coordinating vintage candle holders:

We left the store with 5 carts worth of stuff and one happy bride! Then we headed next store to the fresh flower area to get some ideas for flowers. Misha’s colors are royal purple and blue (with touches of silver and black) so she wants the flowers to really pop.  Sadly the flower mart was not as much of a success but we did get some good ideas on what was available in her color scheme.

Event Envy: Colorfully crafted California wedding: Rachel + Dustin

I am freak about weddings, I absolutely love them! I can’t help it, they are so pretty and fun and full of love and beautiful memories…(le sigh).  This colorful wedding takes the cake, I am literally dream of their sparkly backdrop. I found this on 100 Layer Cake and fell madly in love. After reading the original post I saw that you can actually buy this backdrop through 100 layer cake, here.

The ultimate. Lauren Bush marries David Lauren

Pinned Image

I posted about Dylan Lauren’s wedding dress a while ago and just caught a glimpse of Lauren Bush’s (isn’t it funny that she is now Lauren Lauren?!).  How amazing is this photo!? It took Ralph Lauren plus a team of 100 over 3,000 hours to create this Victorian-esque masterpiece.  I tried to find more photos but came up short.
