Fancy Dinner Design

Last week I co-hosted an elegant dinner party for some of the top women executives working in aerospace and defense locally and opted to do the table design myself. I wanted it to have a feminine feel without any pink or too much sparkle. I went with cream, gold, moss green, and tan for the color palette.

Trader Joe’s has incredible peonies right now and I was lucky to find several all white bouquets.

I used a handy trick for the place cards, I printed them in a light yellow ink and went over them in metallic gold pen. The font I used is called “Before the Rain”.

The “I’m a Giant House Challenge”

I have been following this Dollhouse challenge that Emily Henderson set up through HGTV and a few people have finished their houses.  They are soo amazing you HAVE to take a look at them.  I talked to Emily about her progress at the West Elm party and it sounds like a labor of love, I can’t wait to see her final product.

Christmas Craftiness

I am in full blown Christmas craft mode right now, here are a few fruits of my labor:

As I mentioned last week I found some Christmas prints on Pinterest that I wanted to use to swap out a few frames around my house, I finally got around to drawing them, here’s a look:

I also want to make my own gift tags this year and practice my new found interest in Calligraphy.
