Every thanksgiving I look forward to the food, it involves all my favorite dishes and I wanted to share a few with you. One of the dishes I am obsessed with is something we call “Nana’s Noodles” that my Nana makes. Until recently I wasn’t sure how to make them but I now have the recipe, it is serious comfort food:

Noodles
1 Whole Chicken
¼ – ½ cup dried onions
1 teaspoon garlic
4 tablespoons chicken boulin
3 cans chicken broth
1 pk egg noodles
2 cans cream of chicken
1 can cream of celery
pepper to taste
Cover chicken with water, add onion, garlic and chicken boulin. Cook until chicken is done. Remove chicken, let cool. Add noodles, cook until done. Add cream of chicken and cream of celery. Cut up chicken, simmer until cooked through. Pepper to taste.
Next we have cranberry salad that my step-mom Sharon makes every year. It takes cranberry sauce to a whole new level:

Cranberry Salad
1 package cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 small can crushed pineapple (drained)
18 large or 2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 pint whipping cream
Grind or chop cranberries, add sugar, pineapple and marshmallows, blend well and let stand overnight in refrigerator. Use mixer to whip whipping cream. Whip until fluffed. Add whipped cream to mixture by folding it in. Serve
Happy Turkey day!
