Last weekend I finally was able to volunteer again at Best Day. Best Day helps kids with moderate to severe special needs to have 1 awesome fun filled day at the beach. Jon and I volunteered with them last year and had such a great experience we knew we had to do it again. This year my brother and my Dad also participated and we all had a blast playing with the kids.
Naomi (9) was my buddy she was a sweet and happy girl who just loved the water. Naomi was non-verbal but showed me the things she liked doing best with her huge smile every time we got near the water. Check out this great video of her surfing:
