Now that the Bachelorette Party is behind us we are counting down to the bridal shower and the ACTUAL WEDDING (eek), which is in March. Misha and I headed to Shinoda Design Center (an wholesaler of all things party/floral) to scout out her centerpieces.
It is hard to describe Shinoda to someone who has never been, it is kinda like the costco of party shwag. We’re talking ribbons, baskets, spray paints, decor, streamers, balloons, flowers, glitter, confetti, ornaments…you name it they have it. We initially set out to find tree branches that we could spray paint silver, only to find that most branches worth their salt were running $40 a pop. Then we found the perfect one pre-made (see below) for about $50 a tree, which didn’t sound too unreasonable. But then we started thinking about the cost to add flowers and crystals and this tree branch idea was starting to look less appealing. Lucky for us we found some AMAZING tall candelabras (see below), that give the same glamorous feel and will cost half as much!
Once we were on the candelabra train we could not get off, especially once we found all these coordinating vintage candle holders:
We left the store with 5 carts worth of stuff and one happy bride! Then we headed next store to the fresh flower area to get some ideas for flowers. Misha’s colors are royal purple and blue (with touches of silver and black) so she wants the flowers to really pop. Sadly the flower mart was not as much of a success but we did get some good ideas on what was available in her color scheme.
